I’m going to focus on this page on Tenerife as our summary and feelings from the island. The whole Island is nice with beautiful beaches, views, kiteboarding spots, and so forth. I can only recommend this island to everyone who wants to enjoy the sun and nice weather. We traveled around the island and visited everything interesting such as the Capitol Santa Cruz, Benijo, Purto de La Cruz, Las Teresitas, Play de la Arena, Playa America, Pico del Teide, Playa San Juan, Los Gigantes, Playa de la Tejita, Los Cristiano, Play del Adeje and see another island with sunset or sunrises such as La Palma, La Gomera and Gran Canaria.

#1 El Medano
This city was our first city on the Island and we like it because there are playgrounds, a long and swallow beach, restaurants, coffees, and shops. It is about 10 minutes by taxi from Airport South and if there were a high waiting line of about 50 people we waited about 10 minutes.
Medano is a windy place and based on the moon phase because there are days perfect for kiteboarding, windsurfing, and so forth and on the other hand there are days without wind. The Sunrise and Sunset are awesome!
There is also a nice walktrip to “Red” Moutain with an ocean view.
#2 Santa Cruz & Playa Las Teresitas
Capitol of the Tenerife the city of Santa Cruz is full of nice playgrounds in the middle of parks or forests. It provides a lot of shadow places if you don’t want to go to a beach every day. The city has everything important for the Family such as sweet and ice-cream shops, historical places and markets for mothers, and enough beer places for fathers.
If you go by car/bus to the north you will be about 10 minutes from the famous Playa de Las Teresitas which is long enough and you can find your place. There are three or four beach bars with drinks, beers, and some average food. The beach is shallow with light sand and you can borrow/rent an umbrella and lounger.
#4 el teide and roadtrip
We started in Santa Cruz and went to the Playa San Juan and chose the way through the middle of the island close to El Teide. It was 2 hour long way full of turns so with kids and a wife you have to go slow, but I can imagine the way with a motorbike or some sportscar as fun.
We had several “pitstops” for snacks, lunch, and drinks with wide-angle views of the ocean, nature, and El Teide. The way there is I think “must” to see if you like nature and views.
#5 Loro Parque
One of the waterparks around the world where you can see a lot of animals and shows. We enjoyed it with the kids because the shows were breathtaking performances and full of energy. There are snack bars and restaurants that have average food for a normal price if I compare it with Prague Zoo, Gran Canaria Park, Barcelona Waterworld or Paris Disneyland, etc.
#6 North
The north part of the Island is not so much touristy as the south but has beautiful trails in the forests which are to the edge of the island. There are also beaches that people use for surfing such as Playa de Benijo, Playa Del Roque de Las Bodegas, and Almaciga Beach. The way for San Andres through El Bailadero is nice with several stops to take a selfie.
This part of the Island is perfect for active people who hate sitting or lying on the beach. There is everything for walking, nordic walking, forests with sceneries, and interesting places. It is part of the paradise for active people who have to be on the Island.
