Our mum wanted to have a trip and daddy decided that we would go skiing (Kubik morning question “And mum confirmed your idea, daddy?”). So daddy decided after some acceptance…
And it was cold and cool! As always daddy had to load things into the car such as a ski, ski boots, clothes, a pram, and bobsleds. He was pleased as always because we used all 705 liters of the trunk space.

Lipno Ski Arena has several ski slopes which are “Blue” and “Red” and one “Black”. Sloaps have sufficient width and space to prepare yourself for actions like turning left or right or going fast on the edge of the ski. There is a “Snowpark” with some jumps and bars for sliding and a “Skicross” with turns and tubes. Basically, there is a lot of space and options for beginners.
The smallest one is “Fox park” and there is a skiing school and 2 or 3 moving carpets for beginner skiers. There is also a place for bobsledding.
If you go with kids to Fox park and you will need snacks or toilets so everything is not so far. Nearby is based building with “Stodola” pub, hotel Element, and sweatshop Povidlon.

Kuba and Lukas love all of the types of accommodation and mum and I wanted to vacation from cooking and preparing snacks and everything and decided to be at Element Hotel which is based at the perfect place under the main cableway and central parking place.
The parking place has enough space for your car and the hotel has its own private parking places for some fee.
The journey from the parking place to the cableway is about a 3-5 minute walk with ski boots which is acceptable.
The hotel is nicely clean and modern with the connect human being and nature because a lot of things are designed with wood and natural material.
The food court and all food services for hotel and visitors are at the pub Stodola which has a cool window cooking approach and you are able to see cooks preparing your food. The most famous sitting place is the cableway seat which kids love. The breakfast is typical of eggs, sausages, beans, rolls, sweets and juices, coffee, and so forth.
They have a lunch and dinner menu there and everything was good but the best was pizza for us. There is an option to order a kids’ menu which combines fish, meat, potatoes mash, rice, or pasta if you don’t want to buy only fries.

- Walk around the Lipno and look at the Obrryba statue and Marina
- Visit something about 5-8 kids’ playgrounds
- Visit Aquapark
- Visit Papilonia
- Go by car to Frymburk and visit Waterworld
