Brothers go to Crocodile park
This alligator park is perfect for a 1/2 day trip with kids.

If you are at the Gran Canaria on a weekend you should visit Cocodrilo Park Zoo based close to the city of Agüimes. They have an open day from Friday to Sunday and if you have time (and kids or not) you will see nice shows and really big crocodiles. The biggest one has over 5 meters and about 900 kilograms. It is bigger and heavier than several cars which you meet on the island 🙂

From Las Palmas or Maspalomas is the way about 30 minutes by highway and if you have lucky kids will sleep as ours. There is a big parking place close to the Park and if you will use a bus there is a bus station next to the park.

COMMENTED SHOWS WITH CROCODILES, MONKEYS, AND BIERDs

We visited commented show and feed of birds, crocodiles, and monkeys and it was really cool. There are also some moderators who talk about the animals and some specialists who showed you small crocodiles and it is perfect. The shows are about 10-15 minutes and are interesting for kids older there 3 years because Lukas was not interested in staying in one place and looking at something I had to go around the restricted areas for animals.

We went through the park twice because the first round was with the shows and the second one was for a slow walk and looked at it the second time with more time. There are also cows, pigs, horses, turtles, and white tiger.

If you have small kids you should take them some meals because there are only fried chips, nuggets and hot&dogs

The park is nice and clean with nice toilets with diapers and changing tablets at men’s and women’s toilets.

The buffet is a little worst because there is an option to buy something fried or sweets or ice cream which is not a problem for kids but for us parents. The buffet is in the middle of the park and you will go through it and there is also a souvenier shop.

Three years old crocodile, the Same age as Kuba
